Born to missionary parents in Rangoon Burma, Mary’s work shows in its eclectic nature the influences of her life: living in Southeast Asia, in upstate rural New York, studying theater and working around the country in professional theaters for several years before discovering the world of storytelling.

In addition to her education and training, Mary has over 20 years of experience in both theater and storytelling. She has performed for more than 6,000 at schools, festivals, churches and special events. A rostered teaching artist with the State of Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, she has extensive experience teaching arts-based residencies from pre-K through college.

She is a professional actress, playwright and director.

Most recently Mary has been interested in the way the arts enhance and inform spirituality and the wellness of individuals as well as whole communities.
