Theatre Arts

Mary has been a professional actress, director, playwright and costumer for 30 years (give or take).

Her work has been seen on street-corners, on Shakespearean stages, in churches, parks and festivals.

Currently she is a member of Touchstone Theatre, a nationally known professional ensemble theatre company based in Bethlehem, PA.  At Touchstone she teaches storytelling and acting values to each year’s new crop of Apprentices, coordinates and teaches in their Young Playwrights’ Lab program, acts in productions, writes and directs.  Credits include The Glass Menagerie, If At All, A Christmas Carol, Shakespeare’s Sonnets, Christmas City Follies, and writing/directing Aesop & Company,  The Southside Experience, and JOURNEY:  Dream of the Red Pavilion.

At the Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, she teaches in their Senior Conservatory, teaching acting to the most advanced students.  She has also directed (The Hobbit, The Jungle Book) and done costuming for them (Frog & Toad, Stuart Little) and performed (Tomas and the Library Lady).

As a costumer, her work has been seen in Ulysses Dreams at Touchstone Theatre, Frog & Toad All Year Long and Stuart Little for the Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, Guys & Dolls, Peter Pan, Hamlet, and Beauty and the Beast for Liberty High School Theatre.

She is available for personal performance coaching, presentation skills work, directing and writing.
